What's New?
In the news and my experiences.
I am often asked "what is something special we can do for our little princess ?" . There are many things you can do at Disney World to make it a the most memorable. One thing that a lot of guests would like for their little princess is an appointment at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. There are two locations for Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. One in Disney Springs and one in Cinderella Castle. Both locations to book up six months out. If there isn't any availability during your stay not to worry ! There are other options! The Trellis at Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is one that I would like to tell you about. The Trellis is a full service salon located upstairs at the Grand Floridian. This is not just for the little ones. But if your little one would like to have her hair and more done as a princess does this is a great option. The staff here does a wonderful job. I also love that it is at Grand Floridian - what a fancy location making your little one feel even more princess like. They can do many types of up dos . Complete with pixie dust! You can choose from a variety of packages. From Storybook style - $50 for children up to the Timeless Transformation - hair, makeup and nails - $90 for children. This is for ages 4-14. Perhaps mom and daughter would both like to take advantage of this special experience. Mom can do any of the packages as well for a bit more.

Magic Kingdom's After Hours is a ticketed event. What this means is that there are limited amount of people granted access to this event for a fee. The event takes place from at different times during the year. Either 9pm - midnight, 8pm- 11pm or 10pm - 1am. Your evening begins with scanning your band and receiving a special wrist band. You can enter about an hour prior. During the after hours event you can ride attractions, meet with characters and eat DISNEY SNACKS! The attractions that are open for this event include almost everything. The lines are short you can ride as much as you like. The snacks are definitely a big perk . You can have as many of the options offered as you like. This includes soft drinks, water, popcorn , Mickey pretzels , frozen bananas , mickey ice cream sandwiches and YES Mickey Mouse Ice cream bars!! The snack kiosks are open you simple walk up and tell them what you would like . Not quit finished with that ice cream when it's time to board Mine Train- no problem you can get another when you get off! It is definitely a great way to ride all your favorite rides and meet your favorite characters without a wait. I highly recommend it!
The newest dining experience at Disney World is Storybook Dining at Artist Point. This is located at Wilderness Lodge Resort. Even if you are not staying at this wonderful resort you can still visit for dinner. (then take the ferry over to Magic Kingdom) . If you have the Disney Dining plan this is a 1 table service credit meal. It was fantastic! Why you ask. Well for multiple reasons. First the decor is adorable. It is like stepping into the enchanted forest. The table have lazy susans that look like giant leaves. This is where your appetizer selections will be place. My favorite was the butternut squash soup served in a tiny black cauldron and topped with a tiny toasted marshmallow. Your menu options for your main coarse have something for everyone. We had the Royal Prime Rib and the Magic Mirror Slow-braised Veal Shank both were wonderful ! ( we ate way too much!) . They also have a selection of themed cocktails to choose from if you would like. I had a the Enchanted Apple. During your meal Snow White will come to visit your table . She is happy to sign autographs and take photos. Before we Snow White paid us a visit Dopey came by to say hi! We took a bunch of photos and then he scooted off to take part in the Happy Dance. ( a short little song and dance) . Then Grumpy came by . We teased him a bit about needing some sugar to lift his spirits and took a bunch of photos with him. Then it was on to desert! We were brought 3 deserts that were placed on the leaves as well. So yummy! Then something exciting happened. Our server brought us a wooden box that she said was compliments of the queen. She opened the box that had magical smoke wafting out of it (dry ice) in this box were two red chocolate ganache hearts. On your way out after your meal you will have the opportunity to meet the queen (she prefers not to be called the Evil Queen). There is a photopass photographer to take your photos . This is wonderful in case there are little one that are a bit put off by her as she does not visit tables. All in all it was a wonderful dining experience!
